Exo Motion information for care managers.

A clear supplier handover for Support at Home providers assessing wearable walking support. Clinical decisions and funding approval stay with the responsible professionals and provider.

What you can request from us

Exo Motion Pty Ltd supplies Exo Motion Pro for A$2,499 and offers private senior rental at A$129 per week, minimum four weeks. With the participant's written consent, we can coordinate a product quote, specifications, fitting observations and supplier questions. We do not substitute a product demonstration for clinical assessment or grant funding approval.

Before considering an order

Start with the participant's support plan and a meaningful activity goal. Confirm the intended setting, existing aids, who assists the person and any clinical concerns that require assessment. Exo Motion Pro is a powered hip-assist device for selected adults who can already walk independently; it is not a full body-weight support system or a fall-prevention guarantee.

Review the current AT-HM list and category guidance with an appropriately qualified professional. A category match, ARTG inclusion or supplier quote alone does not approve this device for a particular participant. A different aid, service or clinical pathway may be more suitable.

Keep each decision with its owner

The clinician assesses suitability and any prescription within their scope. The provider checks program requirements, participant agreement, funding and ordering. Exo Motion supplies product information and responds to questions about fitting, delivery and support. Department guidance states that using a third party does not remove the registered provider's responsibilities.

Our health-professional page covers assessment questions, including use of the participant's own treating clinician. A referral to our allied-health partner is not compulsory, and an independent assessment is not a promise of prescription.

A suggested approval file

Use your organisation's forms and governance process. The downloadable pack is a discussion checklist, not a prescription, completed assessment, insurance certificate or official approval form. Supporting certificates should be checked for the proposed supply and current policy period before onboarding.

Fitting, incidents and follow-up

Agree who will attend fitting and help the participant practise controls, stopping, removal and charging. Record any difficulty following instructions, discomfort or change from baseline. If the product does not suit the person, pause supply rather than treating a successful sales demonstration as sufficient evidence.

If an incident occurs, attend to the person's immediate needs and follow the provider's incident process. Stop device use where safety is uncertain and contact Exo Motion for product support. Keep the serial number and relevant observations for follow-up. Insurance is not a substitute for assessment, supervision or reporting.

Supplier facts and service boundaries

Exo Motion Pty Ltd, ABN 45 698 777 383, is Sydney-based. The device weight is 1.8 kg with one battery; the supported user range is 40-150 kg and up to 190 cm, subject to suitability. Purchase includes a 12-month warranty alongside Australian Consumer Law rights. See purchase details and safety information.

Exo Motion states A$20 million public liability and A$20 million product liability insurance, subject to policy terms and exclusions. Supplier documentation records the underlying device's ARTG Class I inclusion; it does not establish a clinical outcome or AT-HM approval. Request the relevant documents rather than relying on this summary as evidence.

Free demonstrations, fitting and training are available for eligible Sydney customers. Interstate enquiries can be discussed, but local assessment, delivery and fitting arrangements must be confirmed before ordering. Contact info@exomotion.com.au or 0451 810 427 for the supplier-side discussion.

Common questions

Is the provider pack a prescription or funding approval?

No. It is supplier information and a discussion checklist. A suitably qualified professional and the responsible provider must complete their own assessment, documentation and approval processes.

Can the participant use their existing physiotherapist or OT?

Yes. The clinician should work within their scope and the provider should confirm any assessment or prescription requirements. Exo Motion does not require a referral to its own partner.

Are insurance certificates included in the public download?

No. Request the current certificates and regulatory documents directly from Exo Motion and confirm that they cover the proposed arrangement. The public pack is not a substitute for those documents.

Help with your funding questions

Choose the guide that matches your next decision. The self-check provides information, not a funding approval.

Prepare for the right conversation.

Our self-check helps you identify questions for your provider. It does not approve funding. You can also ask about a free eligible Sydney home visit to explore Exo Motion's fit and practical use.
